The Ulstermen have won only one of their last five GUINNESS PRO12 fixtures - 28-6 at home to Ospreys on the opening weekend.
However, they are unbeaten at the Kingspan Stadium since Toulon were the visitors in October 2014 and they welcome a Treviso side yet to record a victory this season.
And Trimble, who is set to make his 190th Ulster appearance and set the record he currently shares with Paddy Wallace, is anticipating a special evening.
"Whenever I started my career I wouldn't have dreamed that I would get to 190 appearances for Ulster," he said. "Every game has been unbelievable, especially the matches at Kingspan Stadium on a Friday night.
"Paddy (Wallace) is a guy who I have a massive amount of respect for so overtaking his total means a lot. It's going to be a very special night for me."
Trimble will start on the right wing with Craig Gilroy selected on the left, while Louis Ludik completes the back three.
Luke Marshall and Stuart McCloskey continue their partnership in midfield, with Paul Marshall and Peter Nelson paired in the half-backs.
Up front, Andrew Warwick and Wiehahn Herbst are selected either side of captain and hooker Rob Herring, with Dan Tuohy and Peter Browne in the second row.
With Nick Williams unavailable for selection due to personal reasons, Robbie Diack is named on the blindside, Sean Reidy at openside and Roger Wilson starting at the base of the scrum.
Defeat for the Italian visitors will be their tenth on the trot in the GUINNESS PRO12, while they have not won on the road since May 2013.
They do, however, know how it feels to beat Ulster after emerging victorious 23-12 in October 2011, while these two sides shared a 29-29 draw in March 2013.
Treviso head coach Umberto Casellato has named a back three of Ludovico Nitoglia, Simone Ragusi and full-back Jayden Hayward, with Tommaso Iannone and Andrea Pratichetti in midfield.
Chris Smylie is scrum-half with Sam Christie on his outside, while Marco Barbini, Robert Barbieri and Dean Budd are named in the back row.
The second row has a new partnership with Duncan Naude and Tom Palmer with Matteo Zanusso, Rupert Harden and permit player Roberto Santamaria up front.
"In attack we must do better," said flanker Budd. "We are doing well on defence, but there is still much work to do to reach the level we desire.
"Psychologically we managed the two defeats well, so that should serve as an incentive to do better."
