Edinburgh centre Rob Dewey has seen sports surgeon Gordon Mackay this morning for a final check up on the knee injured in his try-scoring Scotland debut against Romania in November.
The surgeon is happy with Rob's progress as he is ahead of schedule, and he should return to full training next week.
Mike Blair:
After being injured in last Friday's Magners League victory over Llanelli Scarlets, scrum half Mike Blair went for further investigations yesterday which confirmed the ligament damage previously diagnosed, and also ruled out the possibility of a fracture to the collarbone.
The prognosis for these type of injuries is normally around six to eight weeks, with the absence of complications.
Matt Mustchin:
Following the injury to the lock's collarbone/shoulder last Friday, further investigations confirmed that no fracture was present. However, Matt has suffered severe bone bruising along with soft tissue disruption. He has commenced his rehabilitation programme and will progress as pain allows.
Dave Duley:
Edinburgh Rugby has announced today that it has been agreed to release lock Dave Duley from his current playing contract to allow him to return to his native New Zealand.
Edinburgh Rugby would like to thank Dave for his contribution in the time with the club and wish him well for the future.
