After being forsced to leave the field early against Leinster last Sunday Ulster fly half David Humphreys has undergone an MRI scan on his injured elbow.
The scan revealed that while Humphreys has not sustained any broken bones there is a degree of bony bruising from the impact and significant soft tissue damage.
However, with intensive treatment and rehabilitation there is an outside chance David could be fit for the away Magners League trip to the Ospreys at the end of January.
