In what promises to be a thriller of a St David's Day celebration the Scarlets will host table-toppers Munster at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday 1st March, kick-off 6.30pm.
Following the tense and narrow victory over Edinburgh at the Parc last Saturday Scarlets captain Rob McCusker says that his squad is ready to put in a big performance against league leaders Munster.
McCusker said: "We thought there was more in us than we showed against Edinburgh and we were all disappointed at the end of the game.
"We need another win to keep the pressure on the teams above us. We're conscious that we need the points and the performance and hopefully that will show come Saturday."
Sitting comfortably on 57 points atop of the RaboDirect PRO12 table, with 13 victories from 15, Munster will be looking to continue their form at the Parc on the weekend and the Scarlets captain is fully aware of the challenge that lies ahead of the West Wales side.
He went on to say: "We put quite a lot of pressure on ourselves last weekend but were fortunate that we were able to get those early points back. We definitely won't be able to do that against the likes of Munster.
"They can compete and be a challenge for us whoever they bring on the weekend. There's no conscious effort on our part to under perform any week.
"We're focusing on what we can do, we need to take as many of the points available as we can."
