Ball excited to continue international adventure

The 22-year-old only has two Wales caps to his name so far but will make it three after being called into the starting XV to face England after Luke Charteris picked up an injury in training.

It promises to be an emotional occasion for Ball who was born just 15 miles away from Twickenham in Ascot.

But the second row - who has made eight RaboDirect PRO12 starts for Scarlets this season - isn't about to let his heart rule his head.

"I'm just glad I had the opportunity the week before and I don't look at this one any differently," Ball told the South Wales Evening Post.

"Against France I didn't really know what I was running out into. I didn't expect the lights to be off, the fireworks and everything else. It all just flashed by really quickly. It was case of controlling the emotions through the anthems, but it's a dream, isn't it, to play international rugby. It was great.

"I'm just going to go out there and do what I do best. I just want to get stuck in and play my natural game."
