They travel to Ravenhill and third-placed Ulster on Friday ten points shy of the play-off places but with a game in hand over three of the current top four.
And, with the hunt for new players as well as the retention of their current squad well underway, Easterby believes the Scarlets can continue to be a force in the RaboDirect PRO12.
"In terms of recruitment we are further down the line than we were last year," Easterby told the South Wales Evening Post.
"The board have been excellent in supporting early recruitment and understanding how important it is to get things in place earlier rather than leaving it to June or July when a lot of players are then off the market and the pool of players we have to chose from becomes less and less.
"I am really confident we will have a stronger squad here next season and then it is down to us to be performing week in, week out with a stronger squad.
"Hopefully in the next week or so we can announce some retention and some recruitment and hopefully they will add real quality to the squad."
