And after Scarlets stand-off Rhys Priestland was stood down by Warren Gatland following last weekend's defeat in England, Biggar has stepped into the fold.
He is focussing on preserving Ospreys' top-four spot in the RaboDirect PRO12 this season but Biggar is also determined to make the most of his chance at the highest level.
"Overall, I am reasonably happy with how I am going," he said. "The coaches have been as good as gold, and honest.
"They have said that if things don't go well and people don't perform, you will get an opportunity. That is what I see Saturday as, a good opportunity to put a marker down and to just enjoy it.
"You are paid to do a job, whether it's to sit on the bench or start. When you get an opportunity, it's about taking it the best you can.
"You have just got to keep your head up and keep going.
"I am a relatively positive person in terms of keeping going and coming back from disappointments. And, as a team, we can come back on Saturday from a couple of disappointing games."
