But the Scarlets No.10 will return to his club with plenty to play for as the RaboDirect PRO12 makes its return for the final push next week.
The Welsh outfit sit ten points behind fourth-place Ospreys with six games to go and, with Priestland set to reassume the controls, Easterby is convinced he will make a big impact.
"I'm sure he'll be coming back full of beans and looking forward to contributing to the end of the season," said Easterby.
"That will be his focus and he's a really important for what we are here, and he will be into next season."
