Twenty points from the boot of Dan Biggar helped Ospreys to victory and Rees believes his side can keep picking up wins.
But no-one at the Liberty Stadium is getting carried away just yet and with three games to go anything can happen.
Ospreys are currently level on 56 points with fourth-placed Glasgow but the Scottish side have two games in hand and Rees is keeping calm ahead of the crucial run-in.
"Winning keeps us alive and we said that we wanted to ask questions of other sides and winning has done that," he said.
"If we can keep as we are and get to the last game of the season with something to play for we'll be thrilled.
"I haven't really considered next week to be honest we have just we have just lived in the here an now.
"We are just focused on play offs, we've always been confident whatever.
"We showed a lot of spirit grit and resolve to hang in there, we didn't always have the control we desire, but we did rally and I thought the last quarter we shut up shop and gained a penalty ourselves and put the game to bed.
"We will try to build on what we've done, there's still gaps in our game but we'll try and fill them as quick as we can and recognise the good in us."
