The 25-year-old has only made two RaboDirect PRO12 appearances for Glasgow this season, spending the majority of his time with Heriot's in the Scottish Premiership.
But despite his relative lack of experience, Bryce was one of only nine players who was selected to play a full part in the tour as new head coach Vern Cotter has opted to split up the majority of the squad into two separate outfits.
And while Bryce is unlikely to even make the bench for next week's RaboDirect PRO12 final against Leinster, the hooker is already itching to get a taste of the international set-up.
"I was over the moon and gobsmacked at the same time," he said.
"I've hardly played any professional rugby so to get the call-up was a shock. My last game was for Caley Reds against Newcastle Falcons about two weeks ago.
"If you had told me after that that I would be in the Scotland squad I would have said you are having a laugh."
