Scarlets augment reality with new smartphone app

Augmented reality app Blippar allows supporters to scan Scarlets' new season ticket flyer to access a through-the-looking-glass view of the matchday experience.

Scarlets General Manager Jon Daniels said: "As a leading sports club and facilities venue we have already showed our ambition to become a showcase for energy efficiency within stadia environments shortlisted as one of six finalists across the globe in Stadium Business Summit Awards.

"Today's release of our interactive flyer shows what ambition we have to make strides in other areas of the business.

Augmented Reality is a technology that blurs the line between what's real and what's computer-generated by overlaying digital images, video and other information onto real world content.
