Alex Dunbar, Peter Murchie and DTH van der Merwe were the try-scorers as the Scotstoun outfit extended their unbeaten streak at home to 15 games.
It proved the perfect way to sign off from the GUINNESS PRO12 before the European break, with the Warriors guaranteed a top two spot headed into Round 14.
And though defeat to Edinburgh last time out was a single blip in a good run of form, Strauss believes Friday's performance was the best in a long while.
"We needed a reaction from last week and we wanted to get the momentum back and although we've won a few games we felt the performance wasn't quite there so in these conditions that is a great win," said Strauss.
"There was a lot of change in the game tactically with the conditions and we did very well with our half-backs playing so well and the forwards bringing that physicality.
"We knew it would be like that [bad conditions] and the forwards knew we had to front up and work hard round the corner.
"That is very important ahead of a big game in Europe next week and for the rest of the season really, it was a great team effort."
