The GUINNESS PRO12 champions advanced to the knockout stages with a 20-20 draw against Wasps on Saturday as Fergus McFadden and Isaac Boss both touched down.
They will have home advantage in their last-eight encounter after results elsewhere fell in their favour. And having recorded back-to-back domestic wins to kick-off 2015, Fitzgerald believes no-one will relish facing Leinster.
"I would say a lot of teams would be pretty disappointed in having to play us in the quarter-final having done really well in the group," he said.
"I think teams would look at it and say 'jeez, how have we drawn these guys?' that's how I feel about it.
"Maybe I'm overly confident in us, but I think we're playing some decent rugby and we've got an awful lot left in us, which is a nice place to be considering we've qualified.
"In the last couple of weeks we've executed the coach's game plan an awful lot better. I think he's a very creative guy and that showed against Wasps in the first half."
Leinster return to GUINNESS PRO12 action on February 15th when Newport Gwent Dragons visit the RDS Arena.
