Wayne Pivac's men have had mixed results in their league campaign so far, with excellent victories over the likes of Ospreys and Glasgow Warriors coupled with a series disappointing defeats away from the Parc y Scarlets.
The Llanelli outfit ended their European campaign bottom of their pool after a 26-3 home defeat to defending champions Toulon on Saturday, but Williams remains positive about that performance.
And ahead of their Anglo-Welsh Cup clash at home to London Irish this weekend, the 21-year-old is calling on his side to build the momentum going back into the GUINNESS PRO12.
"Obviously Toulon were a top quality side, and you just have to look at the 490 international caps they've won from No.1 to No.15 to know that," he said.
"It was quite strange seeing all those great experienced players come off the bench, but I thought we did alright in that game and didn't focus on who we were up against.
"The GUINNESS PRO12 is obviously the huge focus now, as we can't dwell on what's happened in the past. So we need to turn our thoughts to the rest of the season and getting into that top six.
"We have a couple of games in the Anglo-Welsh Cup now, and we want to build some good momentum going into our next league fixture at home to Connacht.
"Now we can push on in the GUINNESS PRO12 and look to qualify as high as we can for Europe next year.
"I'm not sure why our form has been so mixed. We have a very good record at home but we are struggling away a bit at the moment.
"I don't know why that is, but when we play at home we seem to lift our game and we need to do that when we go on the road to beat the same teams away. It's just a mentality thing, I think."
