Warriors' 26-5 victory over Zebre at Scotstoun last week fired them back to the top of the table, scoring four first-half tries as they bounced back from the previous week's defeat to Munster.
It was an important win for the Scottish side heading into the two-week international break before their important clash against Leinster in Round 18.
And while Taylor - who is also Scotland defence coach - has had split priorities over the last month, he made it back to Scotstoun for the game against Zebre and was delighted with the way the team played.
"When the Six Nations is on Kenny Murray looks after defence while I'm away and does a great job," he told the club website.
"I just turn up on the night of the game and lend my help with home games.
"It's great for Glasgow we're top of the table which is great. But we've got some hard games coming up so it's really important we keep pushing ahead.
"I think we've got Leinster in two weeks so that will be a massive game."
