Although Scotland have struggled to pick up results in recent weeks, Townsend insists his players will return to Scotstoun in fantastic form ahead of a key top-of-the-table clash with Leinster Rugby on March 27.
"I may be biased, but when I have watched Scotland this year I have felt the Glasgow boys have played some really good stuff," he told the club website.
"It's great because we know we are going to get them back in excellent shape. They have played in some tough games and at an excellent pace, and that will stand them in good stead.
"We also know we have got some massive games coming up for them to come back and be involved in in the next few weeks.
"The international games are magnificent. I was at Twickenham on Saturday, and the atmosphere and intensity is wonderful - we are just delighted that so many Glasgow players are involved in that."
