An assured performance in the 16-10 win was followed by another in the 22-12 victory at home to Ulster, with the Wales Under-20 international kicking 14 points and helping to create Hadleigh Parkes' try.
"I have been pleased with how it has gone, I am just pleased that the coaches have shown the faith in me and hopefully I have taken my chance," Jones told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Getting the call for Glasgow was a little bit of a surprise, especially because Steve (Shingler) is an experienced fly-half, who has played in the Premiership for London Irish.
"Last Saturday was really special for me, running out at home for the Scarlets for the first time; it was something I dreamt of as kid. But I know how hard it is going to be to keep hold of the jersey."
The Scarlets currently lead the GUINNESS PRO12 following two wins from two and have a good chance of remaining there when they return to action on October 4 at Zebre, who are without a point at the foot of the table.
Jones added: "Wayne had told us to treat these two games like a semi-final and final, against two top teams, but we know it is early days and we have just got to keep the momentum. It is a bit of shame that we have a break now before our next game against Zebre."
