The win consolidated their position at the top of the GUINNESS PRO12 table and gives them a two-point advantage over nearest rivals Munster - who edged their Friday night clash with Ulster 32-28 - ahead of a clash at Leinster next weekend.
Scarlets remain the only side in the GUINNESS PRO12 who are yet to have lost a game, and Pivac was impressed with a job well done.
"We're happy to have six out of six definitely, but the bonus point is what we were after today as well," he told the BBC.
"No disrespect to the Dragons, but it was something we had sort of targeted and to get that was very satisfying.
"I thought we played pretty well in that first half and controlled things.
"But we fell away once we put some subs out there. We'll just have to look at that and make sure the guys coming on are very, very effective."
