So far Edinburgh are on course to make further improvement in Solomons' third year in charge, having reached the European Challenge Cup Final last year.
They've already defended the 1872 Cup against Glasgow Warriors this season, but as attention turns back to Europe - starting against Agen - Hoyland is hoping to go one better.
But progression to the knockouts is far from guaranteed at the moment as Edinburgh sit in joint-second, with 12 points in Pool 5.
"It would be good to get five points out of that game, hopefully we can keep our winning streak going," Hoyland told The Herald. "We want to win the Challenge Cup, so winning these games is one of our goals. We won't be going in half-heartedly - it is just as important as the league games.
"Getting to the final last year was great for the club and we don't want to do any worse than we did then - hopefully we can do even better.
"It is hard to know what to expect from Agen, but if we stick to our style of play and to what we know we can do well, we can come away with a win.
"We could have come away with a bonus point against Treviso, that was a bit frustrating, but you have to take it as they come.
"Our [Challenge Cup] group is close so we need to get as many points as possible from the Agen game, but first things first we have to win and take it from there."
