Phil John retains his place in a new-look front row to the one that faced Connacht a few weeks ago. Kirby Myhill comes in at hooker with Peter Edwards packing down at tighthead in his first PRO12 start since November.
Aaron Shingler, Will Boyde and Morgan Allen line up in an unchanged backrow for the third consecutive time.
Rhodri Williams, DTH van der Merwe and Hadleigh Parkes retain their places at scrum half, wing and inside centre respectively with Gareth Owen moving from outside centre to the wing.
Steven Shingler gets the nod to start at outside half whilst Regan King returns to the starting line-up along with fellow Kiwi Michael Collins returning at fullback.
Aled Davies has been released from Wales camp and tighthead prop Rhodri Jones will make his 100th appearance for the Scarlets from the replacements bench.
Speaking ahead of the must win clash head coach Pivac said: "We're looking forward to getting back out on the pitch to right the wrongs of the last round. We've put in a lot of hard work this week to eradicate the errors.
"Edinburgh's scrums have gone really well. They drive a lot of their line out and have been picking up a lot of panalties and scoring tries from there.
"We really want to get back to winning ways and finish the season strongly like we started. It is really important to get points out of every game."
