His second start for Canada was against the Warriors in a pre-season fixture in Nova Scotia last August, and Sears-Duru - now 21 - clearly did enough to impress Gregor Townsend and his coaching staff.
Sears-Duru played in all four of Canada's 2015 Rugby World Cup pool matches, and having arrived in Glasgow on Sunday has trained with the Warriors squad this week after signing a contract until the end of the season.
"I'm excited to be in Glasgow and this is a great opportunity for me," Sears-Duru told the club's official website.
"I talked to DTH (van der Merwe), Connor (Braid) and Taylor (Paris) and they all had good things to say about the club.
"Glasgow play a really good style of rugby and I'm glad to be part of it. I'm still young, so hopefully I can learn a lot here and become a better player and continue to play for Canada and do well for Glasgow."
Glasgow Warriors head coach Townsend added: "We're delighted to welcome Djustice to the club and we look forward to working with him.
"We came up against him in our pre-season fixture over in Canada and he impressed us that day with his raw strength and physicality.
"He is young, keen to learn and will be a great addition to our squad as we enter the final weeks of the season."
