They face a Newport Gwent Dragons side that, despite having suffered a run of misfortune in the league, made it all the way to the Challenge Cup semi-finals before bowing out to Montpellier.
The occasion - which also pits Cardiff Blues against Ospreys - has already been confirmed as the biggest-ever attendance for a PRO12 match, and Ball believes his side will rise to the historic occasion.
"Judgement Day is the closest you're going to get to playing in an international game and for our young players it's invaluable experience," Wales international Ball told Rugby World.
"We know so many of the boys from the Wales. It's a real day out for players and the fans.
"They're extremely difficult to break down, they have plenty of talent in the shape of Taulupe Faletau, Hallam Amos and Tyler Morgan.
"The game against the Dragons is vitally important for the league. We cut the season down into blocks and set ourselves targets, one of which was to make the play-offs.
"We want to win but play in a style befitting of the Scarlets. I can't wait to get out there."
