Adam Jones has been an Osprey since the region’s inception in 2003.

Previously with Neath, Adam had made more than 50 Magners League appearances prior to the start of the 2009/10 campaign.

He has twice been a Magners League Champion (in 2005 and 2007) and has also helped the Ospreys to the EDF Energy Cup crown.

Adam made his Wales debut against England in 2003 and started all five games in both of his country’s Grand Slam winning seasons of 2005 and 2008.

He made his 50th international appearance against South Africa at the Millennium Stadium in November 2008 and had totalled 56 Wales caps by the end of the 2009 Six Nations.

Adam earned the ultimate honour when he was named in the British & Irish Lions squad for their 10-match summer tour. He went on to win a Lions Test cap as a replacement during the first international against the Springboks in Durban, before starting the heartbreaking second Test in Pretoria a week later.

Adam’s involvement with the Lions came to a premature end when he dislocated a shoulder during the second international, with surgery preventing him from returning to Magners League action until the Boxing Day win at the Scarlets.

He has since been named in the Wales squad for the 2010 Six Nations after proving his fitness in both the Magners League and Heineken Cup.
