It enabled Ospreys to sneak victory by 22-19 at Arms Park and keep the heat up towards the top of the RaboDirect PRO12 table heading into a Boxing Day clash at Scarlets.
And Biggar believes it was his side's pack in particular which came to the fore in a gutsy all-round display.
"Luckily we were with the wind first half and I managed to get a couple on penalties on the bounce which got our confidence up and it's always a bit more difficult in those conditions," he said.
"Pen (Leigh Halfpenny) struggled a little bit into the wind with two kicks you'd expect him to nail ten times out of ten.
"But that's how tricky it is here and more importantly it was contributing to a very, very big win for us.
"The drop goal wasn't one of the prettiest ones I've hit but the pitch was good here, it encourages a fast game but the wind was terrible second half.
"We probably should have led by a little bit more in the first half but it was an outstanding effort, the forwards were absolutely superb and I can't say enough good things about them."
