However, next up is a clash with RaboDirect PRO12 leaders Munster, as the Irish side visit the Liberty Stadium on Sunday in search of a tenth win in 11 league games.
And Gibbes is hoping his pack will step up to the challenge and match Munster up front, as Ospreys look to strengthen their RaboDirect PRO12 playoff credentials.
"We are pretty happy with how it went last weekend, but we are under no illusions that this Sunday is an absolutely different kettle of fish, it is going to be one hell of a game," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Every time you play Munster there is a battle up front to be won and I don't think that is going to change this week.
"From a forwards perspective that is a challenge we are pretty excited about. We just want to get out there and get stuck into them."
