Leinster, who are now six points clear at the top and destined for a home semi final, ran in nine tries from eight different scorers in Dublin to get back to winning ways following last week's defeat to Ospreys.
Jimmy Gopperth was also in fine form at fly-half, finishing the game with 15 points as the hosts crushed their Italian opponents 62-7.
Glasgow Warriors also impressed over the weekend, completing a season's double over Ulster with a 27-9 win at Scotstoun to enhance their own play-off credentials.
Trailing 9-3, Sean Maitland and Tommy Seymour crossed either side of the break to put them in charge before Mark Bennett rounded off a deserved win.
Munster moved up to second in the table after coming from behind to wrap up a bonus-point 32-23 victory over Connacht.
Gerhard van den Heever and Denis Hurley helped the Munsterman back into a half-time advantage before Paddy Butler clinched the bonus point between Eoin McKeon and Danie Poolman tries for Connacht.
Elsewhere on Saturday Zebre recorded their first ever RaboDirect PRO12 victory over Scottish opposition as they took a deserved 26-13 win over Edinburgh.
Giovanbattista Venditti, Filippo Cristiano and Kameli Ratuvou all crossed for the Italians with Edinburgh's only try coming after the break through Matt Scott.
While Sunday's Judgement Day at the Millennium Stadium saw Cardiff Blues hang on against Scarlets to record a 17-13 win - Gareth Davies proving the difference with 12 points from the tee.
And Ospreys rounded off the action with a late penalty try to help edge them to a 20-10 win over Newport Gwent Dragons.
TRY OF THE WEEKEND
With nine tries to choose from, victorious Leinster were not short of candidates for try of the weekend.
Sean Cronin's 40 metre dash from a line out lit up the game early on while a strong team move resulted in Jamie Heaslip galloping clear in the second half.
But the best was saved until last as Leinster recovered the ball just outside their own 22 before slick interplay between Heaslip and Noel Reid saw him race in unopposed.
BREAK OF THE WEEKEND
Camped inside their own 22, Scarlets turned defence into attack in devastating fashion when Ken Owens pounced on a lucky bounce from their own line out before storming through four tackles into the Blues' half.
Releasing the ball quickly, his side kept the move going across the pitch with only a scrambling Blues defence finally halting the move when they found touch.
Owens would not be denied in the match however, powering over for a try to threaten a late comeback but the hosts held on.
PLAY OF THE WEEKEND
With the game scoreless at half-time, Dragons breathed life into the tie shortly after the break with a show of slick passing to cut through Ospreys defence.
Hallam Amos was the instigator with a glorious offload, before the ball was eventually recycled across to Richie Rees who was on hand to touch down.
It was not enough to inspire a victory however with Ospreys eventually powering back for the win.
PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND
Tim Visser spent the past five months on the sidelines with a broken leg but he marked his return to the Edinburgh fold with a solid performance on his 100th appearance for Edinburgh.
A clever break between two Zebre men shortly after the break fed in Matt Scott as Edinburgh threatened to launch a comeback.
And while any hopes were extinguished with Zebre rallying again, the bright spot for Edinburgh was the return of the Scottish international to their ranks ahead of the season run in.
