On the surface it would appear that there is much more at stake for the boys from Belfast who are desperately trying to hold off the upsurging Ospreys for a place in the top four.
Ulster's last two games of the regular season see them take on first defending champions Leinster at the newly revamped Ravenhill and then head to Thomond Park to take on Munster.
Mark Anscombe's side need to win one of those games or else they run the risk of being caught by the Ospreys but Leinster coach Murphy insists they will not be getting an easy ride.
He said: "Ulster are losing players going into next season but it gives them a great carrot to go and do this. They are five points ahead of Ospreys, and Ospreys look like they could get maximum points in their next two games, so Ulster will have to beat either us or Munster, which will be tough.
"It's their home game, the opening of the new stadium with one of their big rivals going there.
"I think I heard (Johan) Muller during the week saying they had two cup finals to play and they will probably need five points to make sure they are in the play-offs, so it's a tough situation to be in.
"But we're not concentrating on them. We have to get ourselves right and we probably need six points to make sure we finish in top spot - but we won't be looking for six, we'll be looking for two wins."
