Although sitting seventh and some way off a RaboDirect PRO12 semi-final berth, Cardiff Blues aren't exactly limping over the line as they have won their last four games.
All that stands between them and a perfect end to the campaign is Scarlets at the Parc y Scarlets on Saturday.
It was the Blues celebrating when the two sides met last month - coming out 17-13 victors - but while McIntosh is looking for one final flourish, he is warning his troops to take nothing for granted.
"We are all looking forward to the final game. It's a local derby and we have beaten them once before this season," McIntosh told the official Cardiff Blues website.
"Obviously they wouldn't have been happy about losing to us last time and, although they have qualified for Europe, we are going down there to get a result.
"We are not over confident in ourselves. But we are confident that we can compete, confident in our own ability and if we can produce something similar to tonight and the last three games then we will be a tough nut to crack."
