Seymour relishing Glasgow Warriors' home advantage

Glasgow are the RaboDirect PRO12's form team, winning their last eight games on the bounce to secure second in the table.

That earned them a home tie with Munster - back in the playoffs after missing out last year - as Gregor Townsend's side look to banish back-to-back semi-final defeats.

And Seymour, who was in Edinburgh on Sunday to collect the RaboDirect PRO12 Try of the Year award, is hoping the Scotstoun crowd will be rocking on Friday night.

"It's huge to get the home semi," he said. "We've played the last couple of years away to Leinster and we've had a narrow loss in both of those which was hard for us to take.

"But if anything it just shows how important getting a home semi-final is and we needed to make sure we go that because of the advantage it can lead to.

"The boys have dug in and played well and the last seven weeks have helped us secured that but there's no point in having a home semi-final if we don't play the way we have been."

Munster will be well aware of the Warriors' run of form and injured captain Peter O'Mahony has already warned a backs-against-the-wall performance is necessary.

Seymour said: "If we hadn't played the way we have a playoff place would have been very hard to come by.

"It's fed a lot of confidence and belief in the squad and we've got to make sure we keep that momentum up because there's no point in playing the way we did if we go into the semi-final and not keep it up.

"With Munster coming over and the quality they bring we've got to make sure we have that high standard and because otherwise it won't go our way."
