Madigan has played all bar one minute of Leinster's six GUINNESS PRO12 games so far this season, however just one of those starts as been with as a No.10.
That came last time out as Leinster bounced back from a home defeat to Munster by comfortably putting Zebre to the sword, winning 20-3 in Italy.
Madigan helped himself to a try in that win and the 25-year-old admitted he was more than happy to help Leinster get back to winning ways at fly-half.
But he is also adamant that he is happy to fill in wherever coach Matt O'Connor decides with his other five GUINNESS PRO12 starts coming as a centre with Jimmy Gopperth preferred at fly-half.
"I am a rugby player. I am selected to be a member of the squad," Madigan told the Irish Examiner. "If Matt chooses me at out-half, I am more than happy to play there.
"If he chooses me in the midfield, I am happy to play there, if he chooses me at 15 that is fine and if he wants to use me, that is his option.
"I am employed by Leinster to do a job. They know that out-half is my preferred position but at the end of the day, I am a rugby player.
"I was happy for the team to get back, it was very important to bounce back after last week.
"It was very disappointing to lose against Munster, especially in the fashion that we did. We are back focusing very much on game by game again.
"It was nice, playing out-half it can take a small bit of time to get your eye back in, and to come away with a victory, I was relatively happy."
