Loose-head Evans has represented Wales at Under-20 level but has yet to crack Warren Gatland's senior line-up, whereas Lee is the tight-head to beat at international level.
But Evans, who at 22 is the same age as Lee, has already taken giant strides this season after making five GUINNESS PRO12 starts for Scarlets.
He has quickly established himself on Gatland's radar after training with Wales this autumn before starting in two heavyweight ties against Ulster in Europe.
And with Scarlets set to resume their GUINNESS PRO12 campaign at Cardiff Blues this Friday, Evans is determined to build on a fine start to his year.
"It would be a massive dream to play for Wales together, with Samson," Evans told Wales Online. "I try not to think too far ahead, though, because anything can happen in rugby and it's only this season I've started playing regular rugby.
"I am trying to keep my head down and see what happens. I had a nice week of training with Wales. It's where you want to be, but I'm happy playing here at the moment.
"All the boys are working hard for each other and we are trying to get some results.
"Training with him and growing up with (Lee), I always knew that he was a massive talent and very strong. So, I'm really happy that he's done so well and taken his chance. He deserves all the credit he has been given.
"I played against Samson at under-12s rugby. He was playing for Llanelli schoolboys and I was playing for Pembrokeshire.
"Everyone was going on about this strong kid. Then, I saw this big man, with arms out here, and ginger. But I think I had the upper hand on him that day!"
