STAT-ATTACK: Pienaar set to join 500 club

It would be a tough ask for the 30-year-old South African to kick the 16-points he needs for the milestone, but with 13 and 15 points in his last two league matches, this could be the week Pienaar joins the GUINNESS PRO12 500-club.

Since taking over kicking duties from Ian Humphreys - who himself is on 491 GUINNESS PRO12 points - Pienaar has a kick-percentage of 70.59% and has not missed any of his last six from the tee.

In the same fixture Regan King can move one step closer to his 100th league game for Scarlets, having started each of the Llanelli outfit's last seven GUINNESS PRO12 fixtures and moved his total up to 98.

Having topped the table in 11 of the 15 rounds played so far, Ospreys dropped to a season-low 5th place after back-to-back losses in Scotland, but could move back into the play-off spots with a victory over Leinster.

Three penalties apiece for Jimmy Gopperth and Ian Madigan guided the Irish province to an 18-12 victory at the RDS Arena in November, but Ospreys have three wins and a draw from the last six league meetings between the sides.

The Welshmen have not lost three successive league encounters since September 2012, and have won their last ten matches played at Liberty Stadium in the GUINNESS PRO12 since Munster beat them there twelve months ago.

League leaders Glasgow Warriors will be looking for their third league victory in a row over Munster as they travel to Thomond Park, in a replay of last year's play-off semi-final.

Finn Russell has kicked 11 points for Glasgow in their last two meetings with Munster, but with the fly-half out of the clash on Scotland duty, Munster will be looking to extend their winning GUINNESS PRO12 run at Thomond Park to five.

Elsewhere Cardiff Blues will be looking to end a run of three straight league defeats at home to Edinburgh, while the Scots will be looking to record their first league double over the Welshmen since 2009/10.

Benetton Treviso take on Connacht having won three of their last five GUINNESS PRO12 fixtures. But they have not won outside of Italy since a trip to Scarlets in May 2013, whilst you have to go back to December 2011 to discover their most recent victory at an Irish Province.

And finally Zebre are looking for their first ever victory over Newport Gwent Dragons in Parma on Sunday. They have never beaten the Dragons in five previous meetings, however the two did draw 25-25 in this equivalent fixture last season.
