With the Sky Sports cameras and the reigning champions both descending on Parc y Scarlets, King is in line for his 100th GUINNESS PRO12 appearance.
If he is named in the squad, the 34-year-old - who spent six seasons with the region until 2011 and returned three years later - will make his tenth league appearance of this campaign and bring up his century.
Recent displays include an eye-catching showing as Scarlets beat Connacht 34-12 last month and supporters will be hoping for more of the same against another set of Irish challengers.
Steve Shingler will also be looking to bring up a milestone on Saturday, the Scarlets fly-half sitting on 99 GUINNESS PRO12 points so far this season.
Sam Davies of Ospreys may have his eye on the same target, with the youngster hosting Munster with a tally of 93 to date.
While Dan Biggar has been representing Wales, Davies has capably filled his boots and could reach 100 in a season for the first time in his career.
Elsewhere, Rhys Davies will be hoping to take back the kicking duties from Tom Prydie when Newport Gwent Dragons host Ulster in order to extend his run.
The Dragons full-back has successfully kicked each of his last nine goals - a GUINNESS PRO12-leading run - and can take the tally to double figures if handed the opportunity on Sunday.
On the other side of that clash are two men looking to make it 500 career GUINNESS PRO12 points, led by Ruan Pienaar.
The South African scrum-half fell just one point short last weekend as Ulster beat Scarlets and will surely complete the job at Rodney Parade.
However, fly-half Ian Humphreys is currently sitting on 491 and would no doubt love to pinch the tee from his teammate.
And on Friday night Glasgow Warriors will be hoping to repeat their dominance over Zebre when the two sides lock horns at Scotstoun.
In the reverse fixture last month, the GUINNESS PRO12 leaders recorded the heaviest away defeat of the season so far, winning 54-10.
They also collected the fastest bonus point of the season, bagging four tries in 36 minutes and 50 seconds, and would love to hit the ground running against the Italian opposition once more.
