And the 26-year-old hopes his move to Scotland will result in opportunities to challenge for both domestic and European honours.
"I'm joining a club who have just won the GUINNESS PRO12 and it's a very competitive club," he told the Glasgow Warriors official website.
"They were a competitive team in the European Rugby Champions Cup last season, so I'm coming here to win something and I know that this is the club for me."
Though the GUINNESS PRO12 season will be in full swing by the time Favaro is available to step out at Scotstoun Stadium, he expects to settle in quickly.
"I love Scotland because I feel it's similar to where I come from in north-east Italy," he added.
"We are proud people and the Scottish people are like that too. They are so proud of their country.
"I love their accent as it's strong and you can feel the passion when Scottish people talk."
