They open up this year's campaign with a trip to Cardiff Blues on September 6 before travelling to the Dragons and hosting Scarlets.
Before that, Zebre face three pre-season friendlies to get ready for the new campaign including a game against French second-tier side AS Beziers Herault.
And de Rossi is convinced that despite losing a number of players to the World Cup, his team are set for a strong year thanks to some talented youngsters.
"It will be a special season - we've had 14 players called up to the national squad for the World Cup in September, which we are very proud of," he told Gazzetta di Parma.
"In addition to these is the absence of the players with long-term injuries but their return dates are all very much in line with the original diagnoses.
"We were aware of what we would face and have been able to overcome the player shortage thanks to a well thought-out project related to young players.
"Since June 7, several young players who have a really bright future have been training with us. The model worked last season with Federico Ruzza who is now a fully-registered player with us.
"We've created a nice mix of the best young Italian players that will burst onto the scene, internationals and senior players.
"We have three friendlies in August to begin testing the dynamics - Beziers are first and that will be a very physical game."
