After a week spent training in Wales, Zebre produce a more compact display, and the visitors could have gone into half-time just 13-6 behind had it not been for Beyers missing two routine penalties.
"There remains a bitter taste when it comes to the two kicks that were off target because this was a match we could have won," Guidi said.
"I saw a beautiful answer [to the Cardiff defeat]: the team is fighting, there is spirit and we played well in attack.
"The week-long training camp in Wales served us well and we work hard which enabled us to remain calm."
Guidi was also keen to single out the performances of former Australia international Luke Burgess and youngsters Pietro Ceccarelli, 23, and Maxime Mbanda, 22, after the display at Rodney Parade.
He added: "My boys did well. There was also confirmation on the undisputed quality of (Luke) Burgess and the young (Pietro) Ceccarelli and (Maxime) Mbanda have proved themselves to be ready for this level.
"We proved to be a team and we have to look forward. The game in Cardiff really was a breakthrough moment.
