A week earlier, the French side has built a 27-0 lead at Stade Marcel Deflandre before Zebre roared back to make the final scoreline 27-19 and Biagi's troops picked up where they left off eight days later.
A pair of early Edoardo Padovani penalties set them on their way before Paul Derbyshire's try midway through the half ensured an 11-0 advantage at the break.
But they didn't let their foot off the gas in the second period as flanker Johan Meyer and former All Black Mils Muliaina both dotted down before Ricky Januarie gave La Rochelle the scantest of consolations at the death.
And while Biagi was delighted with the bounce-back performance as a whole, he reserved special praise for Muliaina - who only made his GUINNESS PRO12 debut for Zebre against Ospreys on December 6 - for the way he has slotted into the side.
"There was consistency in our recovery from last week and we were well-managed. We are very happy and we will enjoy this victory that we needed," Biagi told Zebre's official website.
"We're happy for [Mils] Muliaina and for the group - those who have been left out earlier in the season are integrating well.
"It was a very physical game but our defence held up well. If they had played more of the game in our half of the field, it would have been a different game.
"Defence and discipline were crucial and our scrum improved a lot after the difficulties of the game in La Rochelle last week."
