However they have struggled recently, and were well-beaten at Munster last time out, and Guidi knows that they need to play with more variety if they are to test the best of the GUINNESS PRO12, with a trip to Edinburgh up next.
Guidi told L'Eco di Parma: "When we alternate between playing by hand and kicking we can put any team under pressure.
"At the moment we are perhaps playing a little more conservatively. We need to try to vary our game a bit more.
"The squad is coping well from every point of view. We have everything we need, so we should be able to focus only on playing.
"We are going through a tough period, like we've gone through some great times."
Earlier this month it was confirmed that winger Leonardo Sarto will be heading to Glasgow Warriors on a two-year deal next season but Guidi remains upbeat about his squad.
"I want to be positive, these moves mean that there is space for another young Italian," he said.
"The interest in our players from foreign teams is a testament to the progress we have made. I think its important players get experience abroad.
"We can't afford to make mistakes on any players (brought in). Finding players who have the right profile to be able to perform at this level is very difficult."
