Over the weekend dedicated to the quarter-finals of the European Cups, Zebre Rugby will host the Glasgow Warriors at the Stadio Lanfranchi. Tomorrow's clash will be the first seasonal match between the two teams, in fact, the second leg will be held later this month in Scotland in the penultimate round of the regular season of Guinness Pro12. After three consecutive away games, Zebre Rugby are back in front of the home crowd in the prestigious challenge against the defending champions of the tournament after the last year win in Belfast against Munster in the final.
The italian Northwest side has never beaten the Warriors in the previous six games and is just back from the defeat in Edinburgh. After beating Leinster in the re-arranged fixture of two weeks ago, the Warriors are back in the fight for a place in the playoffs when there are only 4 games remaining until the end of the regular season. Zebre, instead, after the bonus point caught in Parma in February against the league leaders Connacht, are looking to move their table and improve the tally of victories in the Guinness PRO12 now at four in 18 rounds. Both teams will deploy several internationals in action in the last RBS Six Nations.
Compared to last Friday's challenge at Murrayfield Zebre have to waive some players injured during last match such as fly-half Haimona and back-rowers Cook and Meyer while others return to disposal recovered from their injures like lock Bernabo, winger Berryman and flanker Cristiano. Finally it's also back in action with the white & black jersey the international centre Garcia, at rest last weekend after playing as a starter all five challenges of the last Six Nations with Italy jersey.
