Warriors announce player departures

Inspirational lock Leone Nakarawa will depart for France over the summer and a further nine names have been confirmed as leaving, including prop Jerry Yanuyanutawa and flanker Tyrone Holmes.

They all have a chance to go out with a bang however - the Warriors look bound for the Guinness PRO12 playoffs, having won eight games in a row.

And Townsend has urged Glasgow fans to give the players a rousing send-off ahead of what is potentially their last home game of the season against Zebre.

"We'd like to thank all those who are leaving us at the end of the season for the contributions they've made to the club," he said.

"They have all worked hard to improve the club and we wish them well in the next stage of their careers.

"Our supporters will get the chance to acknowledge these players' efforts as Warriors at our final regular season home match against Zebre on Friday night."
