The Warriors retained the 1872 Cup for another year and boosted their RaboDirect PRO12 playoff ambitions after sneaking a thrilling 37-34 victory against Edinburgh.
Gregor Townsend's men had looked home and hosed until Tomas Leonardi and Tim Visser crossed in the last three minutes.
It was not enough to spur a sensational comeback, but Edinburgh did take away two bonus points to climb to seventh.
And after a run of disappointing defeats, Scott believes his side's never-say-die spirit against their inter-city rivals showed what they are capable of.
"The last couple of weeks we have lost games and come in afterwards feeling like we haven't played much rugby, which just rubbed salt into the wounds," he said.
"But after the Glasgow match, we knew we had played our hearts out and come up with some good stuff.
"We scored four tries against the best defence in the league so it just shows we are a dangerous team, especially when we get our offloading game going.
"Glasgow scored five tries and in years gone by we could have capitulated. But, towards the end of the game, they looked pretty worried.
"We were in it right until the end and I'm proud of the guys for that."
