The Thomond Park game is the second consecutive away game on the Irish island for the Italian North-West franchise after last Friday's defeat in Belfast. Against the Irish side under new head coach Foley - there are first starts for the new summer arrivals prop Lovotti and fly-half Padovani - two players who attend the Italy Rugby Union National Academy. In the half backs Padovani will pair with Palazzani to form one of the youngest partnerships ever selected by an Italian team in the GUINNESS PRO12.
Clear targets for Zebre Rugby head coach Andrea Cavinato: "It will be a very hard clash: we need to improve in the defensive aspect and eliminate individual errors that have affected much in the first two games against Cardiff and Ulster, especially in the tactical kicking game".
