Alan Solomons' men have won back-to-back matches in Europe, following on from their 24-10 GUINNESS PRO12 triumph over Newport Gwent Dragons earlier this month.
Ford, together with five Edinburgh team-mates including previously uncapped Sam Hidalgo-Clyne, is now set to turn his attentions to helping Scotland overcome Argentina, world champions New Zealand and Tonga.
And the 30-year-old believes the succession of positive performances coming out of BT Murrayfield bode well for Vern Cotter's team.
"It's good to see it carrying on week to week. We don't just want to have a reaction from a poor performance," Ford told Scottish Rugby television.
"We want to keep that up regardless of who we play."
An injury suffered by Grant Gilchrist in Edinburgh's victory over Lyon on Friday has ruled him out of the autumn international series.
Gilchrist was one of five Edinburgh players to suffer injuries in the first half alone at BT Murrayfield.
But Ford, Scotland's most capped hooker with 77 appearances for the national side, felt the versatility his patched up team showed to hang on for a 25-17 win bodes well for a strong domestic campaign.
"Everybody dug in and the boys playing out of position put in a phenomenal shift," added Ford.
"To defend our goal line and get a turnover at the end showed how much our defence has come on."
