After making his first senior appearance for Cardiff Blues in last weekend's dramatic LV= Cup win at Newcastle Falcons, the young centre is eager to make it two from two.
Smith - one of 20 Welsh 'youngsters to watch' according to a list released by Pro Rugby Wales - will wear the No.12 shirt when Cardiff's GUINNESS PRO12 rivals come to the capital.
And with friends and family watching on from the stands, it is another opportunity to show the Blues hierarchy what he is capable of.
"It will be good to have home advantage against Scarlets," said Smith. "It's a local derby so everyone will be up for it. It's about trying to go out there, show what we can do and get the win. It's always nice to get a win over your rivals, hopefully we can do that.
"It's going to be my first time running out at Arms Park too, it's absolutely massive and I can't wait. I'm so excited. My whole family will be there watching.
"It's not been the best of starts in the league for the team, but winning gives you confidence and we can build a bit of momentum for back in the league.
"When the international guys are away, it gives the younger boys a chance to get some experience and hopefully impress to earn a run in the team."
It is also an opportunity for the Blues to carry some momentum back into the GUINNESS PRO12, where they have just one win from seven, following victory in Newcastle.
Smith added: "We were really pleased with how we played last weekend, especially the second half coming back to get the win, it really gives the team a bit of confidence.
"At half-time the coaches just told us to be more physical and be more clinical in the pack and defence and I think we coped better with their attack in the second half.
"Newcastle is a hard place to go away, with the conditions and the crowd. But we dug in and came away with the win, and that's a real positive.
"For me, it was my debut for the club so it will always be something to remember. I really enjoyed it. There were a few nerves in the build-up during the week but I was OK when I got out there."
