The players meet up again in L'Aquila on July 12, then, following the third camp in Fiuggi on August 9, Brunel must trim his squad down to 31 that will compete at the finals in England.
In addition, there are 12 players from Zebre's GUINNESS PRO12 rivals Benetton Treviso named in the squad, and Brunel said: "We selected the players for the camp in Villabassa (Bolzano) who we have worked with in recent seasons.
"The players included among the reserves will work with their clubs, but in case we need them they will still have the opportunity, during preparation or the World Cup, to win a place.
"We expect an exciting and challenging three months to be ready for September 19 at Twickenham against France and I'm sure everyone will do their best to snatch a ticket to what promises to be a special edition of the Rugby World Cup."
Zebre's representatives are Matias Aguero, Dario Chistolini, Andrea Manici, Valerio Barnabo, George Biagi, Marco Bortolami, Quintin Geldenhuys, Mauro Bergamasco, Samuela Vunisa, Guglielmo Palazzani, Kelly Haimona, Gonzalo Garcia, Leonardo Sarto, Giovanbattista Venditti and Michele Visentin.
