Mr Bergamasco admitted that he had committed an act of foul play, in that he had struck the Ospreys No 9, in contravention of Law 10.4(a), which resulted in injury to the Osprey's player. The disciplinary committee accordingly upheld the citing and imposed a suspension of four weeks, having found the offending to have been intentional and having taken into account Mr Bergamasco's conduct at the hearing and his guilty plea. Mr Bergamasco is free again to play on Wednesday 21 March.
