But the reversal of Munster - led by the boot of fly-half Owen Williams who kicked all 18 of their points - was equally important to Easterby as it leaves the Irish province five points adrift of his own side in sixth place.
And having lost two of their last three games before their triumph at the Parc y Scarlets on Saturday, Easterby is delighted to be taking some momentum into the Leinster game.
"We probably haven't done ourselves justice against Leinster in recent weeks so it's nice to go there on the back of this result," said Easterby.
"The lads have put in a lot of hard work over the last few months without really seeing any rewards so it's great to get a win like this.
"What is crucial is that we have also taken points off a team in a similar position to us in the league, we will take that and move on."
