This will be done using rugby as a medium to develop a healthy lifestyle, positive behaviours, values and to develop skills for life, learning and work that will help young people become more employable.
The project will see young people aged between 16 and 19 who are not in education or employment, referred to Warriors to take part in a tailored programme over 8-12 weeks which will see them attend rugby sessions at least twice a week.
These sessions will focus on learning to play, learning to coach and employability. Further specialist training and work placement opportunities will also be available to help young people.
Game on Project Officer for Glasgow Warriors Stephanie Karvelis said: "We are delighted to be working with the Wooden Spoon and Rathbone on such an important project, which enables us to use the values and ethos of rugby in an innovative way, to help young people make positive progressions such as re-engaging with education, work placements, employment and training programmes."
Wooden Spoon Senior Development Director for community projects Jai Purewal added: "Wooden Spoon is committed to transforming young lives through rugby and we are delighted to extend our education programme to Glasgow.
"Special thanks go to the Brian Maguire Charitable Trust for their three-year commitment to Game On in Scotland. We look forward to supporting programme learners as they look to get their lives back on track."
Rathbone Director for Scotland Kate Still said: "This is an exciting new partnership between Rathbone, Glasgow Warriors and Wooden Spoon.
"It provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to engage in learning through sport, develop confidence and progress their education and employment aspirations.
