"Everyone is welcome, we have girls with all levels of skill coming down to join in so I'd encourage anyone with an interest to give it a try."
The girls have already taken part in their first competitive fixture against Carmarthen Athletic and will return to West Wales for the away leg in the New Year.
They currently play touch rugby but as the training goes on they will slowly be introduced to contact skills and at the end of the season those who are interested will play a contact rugby match.
Coaches Michael Dyer and Carly Smith are actively engaged in working with Comprehensive Schools across Ospreylia to encourage girls to get involved.
These partnerships are continually getting more girls to attend the sessions, with Kenfig Comprehensive recently bringing 20 girls to training. Individuals are also encouraged to attend.
If anyone would like further information about the centre or would like to attend the sessions please contact Dai Arthur on 07740 612791 or darthur@wru.co.uk
