Glasgow are currently fifth in the RaboDirect PRO12 table and face Connacht next up on February 9.
But the 24-year-old insists the lessons learned have been noted and the experience will see them push up the table.
"I have no doubt we will learn from the Toulon games and that the experience we have gained from playing against the best team in Europe, home and away, will turn into a positive driver for us in terms of the remainder of our Pro12 campaign," Fusaro told the Glasgow Evening Times.
"I genuinely believe we have made progress compared with the previous campaign, but I have also been left nursing a sense of what-might-have-been.
"I really do feel it has been a missed opportunity for us to make the last eight of the European Cup for the first time.
"But there were plenty of positives to take from our Pool Two games."
